The vast majority of the housing
surrounding Ludlow Baptist Church is owned and maintained by South
Shropshire Housing Association, and – on the whole – they do a good
job caring for their tenants.
Occasionally a tenant
needs a job done and, for one reason or another, the Housing Association
are unable to do it. The church became aware of this, and so set up
“Willing Hands” – a scheme where people in the church offer their
time and skills (free of charge) in order to help when and where they can.
We aim to show the love of Jesus in practical ways, and maybe also
encourage members of our community to think about how they can help
other people.
All kinds of jobs are
taken on – mowing lawns, trimming hedges, moving furniture, offering
lifts, washing windows, basic DIY – we can’t always help, but when we
can, we do a good job!!
