A big THANK YOU to
everyone who contributed to the hamper scheme in the run-up to Christmas.
We ended up giving away 29 hampers, all packed with loads of Christmas
treats.
Many of the hampers
went to people living in very difficult situations – again this year we
gave a hamper to each of the ladies (many with children) living in the
local Women’s Refuge, as well as to everyone living in the 3 homeless
hostels in Ludlow itself. The rest of the hampers went to people suggested
by members of our congregation who had had, for one reason or another, a
very difficult year.
As a church we will
run the scheme again next year – let’s aim to give even more Christmas
treats, so that we can put even more hampers together, and remind even
more people that they have not been forgotten and are being prayed for
during what can be a very difficult time.
