Services
in May
After
spending the last couple of weeks in April thinking about the plans and
purposes and priorities of God, we will spend a week thinking about
knowing what God’s priorities are should affect the way you and I live
our lives.
Then
until the end of July we will be working our way through the book of
James. One reason for this is that it is a really good discipline to read
through a book from beginning to end because you don’t lose the flow of
the teaching, and reduce the risk of taking things out of context. Another
reason for this is that James is known as a very practical book, written
so that believers are left in no doubt how their faith must affect the way
they live their day-to-day lives. To me this seems to be just the right
thing to spend some time thinking about, having spent time recently
reflecting together on what it means to be more like Christ.
Please
note that it is not a misprint regarding the baptismal service, it is on Sat May 23rd.
